FINE ART CATALOGUE
DESIGNED BY EMILY ENGLAND
 MAY 2012
SIZE: 670 × 342
PAGES: 24

This is the cover for the catalogue

This is the page lay out which is repeated through out the catalogue.
Its a really simple lay out, with the artists description of their work
on the left page and a photograph of there work on the right. It is
centered alligned on the single page. Same goes for the writing. Most
of all pages are plain white with just the description and the artists work.
Very simple format i believe.

Handmade Concertina Books
by Jenny Carrington

Name:
One Tree Hill Path
  Pen and ink 170 x 10cm
Pages:18
Handmade Project

The theme behind this picture I believe by the description I read would have to do with what the artist saw along the path while walking through the forest. His style to me seems to be very basic but understandable and gives the viewer a clear understanding of what his surroundings were at the time he was sketching. Narrative i guess in this piece of his artwork to me describes his type of peaceful scenery where he would either escape to for relaxation or just a nice walk. Events in this would probably be a memory as a young child discovering the big forest.

MICCI COHAN

My Fav’s Capsule

SIZE: A4
NUMBER OF PAGES:14
TYPE OF BOOK: Artists book
THEME:
Continuous feature containing shots of micci's favorite things.

Micci's book I feel has a big connection between her and what she favours the most. From personal paintings, sketchs and collages she puts altogether as one
to form her fav's capsule. Images in use look to me as if they were her personal
artwork, made back throughout the years growing up. While reading her biography
I read she gathered a bunch of her old magazines, pictures and artworks that
had lying around her room, put them altogether to create her art books. yes her book has a narrative. Events i guess she has interpreted in her book could be the
times she spent on her projects, a special time she had with a friend watching or reading about something on a poster or a movie.
